Born in 1972 Sayalay Daw Vimalanani carries the title Dhammacariya which qualifies her to teach the Buddhist scriptures. Since the 1990s she has been working as an interpreter and teacher for Buddhist scriptures in Myanmar and Nepal.
After many years of meditation training under the Ven. Sayadaw U Pandatitabhivamsa she started teaching Satipatthana meditation to foreign meditators in 2006. She assisted the Ven. Sayadaw U Pandatitabhivamsa at meditation courses in Myanmar, Nepal, South Korea, the United States, Malaysia, China, Taiwan and Singapore.
She has translated two works of the Pali Canon (Culanidessa, 2011 and Yamaka Pali, 2017) from the Pali into the Newar language as well as several Dhamma books from the Burmese into Newari.
The Ven. Sayalay Daw Vimalanani teaches Satipatthana meditation in the tradition of the Ven. Mahasi Sayadaw in English, Newari, Burmese and Nepalese. A translation into German is planned. She demonstrates skill and compassion in leading meditators to liberating wisdom.
